Idol history was made today after the voting lines were officially closed. With a huge response to the first round of Uzbekistan idol, it was expected to be a close race with few votes between the contestants. Uz Idol officials spent the majority of the night counting the staggering 12 votes and the verdict was revealed in a live show aired in Uzbekistan this afternoon....and it wasnt just one idol who got their marching orders!!
Current favourite Ivana polled well in the votes with her rendition of Candyshop by 50 cent, managing to get through the whole performance with a dislocated left knee. Bronislava and Boris both also polled well with their song choices, whilst there is rumour to be romance between the two. Idol insiders have commented that the two have been seen cursing at and spitting on eachother (a common courting ritual for newly courting couples in Uzbekistan).
Teen heart throb Mikael Spalko managed to scrape through to round two with only 8 percent of the votes. Idol judges crediting this weeks performance, after Mikael accidently chose a completely instrumental song for his live act. Fans said it was his "best performance yet"
With the show coming to a close, the ultimate secret was revealed! For the first time in Uzbekistan idol history, two contestants polled equal last!
Chicken farmer Gaffa Zyteslav and swimsuit model Labko Lubachitsa both recieved an astonishing zero percent of the votes. After a final performance by the two Idols, the eviction was carried out before a live studio audience who cheered as the 'Eviction squad' entered the studio.

Gaafa and labko give their 'final' performance
And with that it's down to four idols with less than two weeks before this years Idol king (or queen) will be revealed. Voting lines will reopen monday 31st of october and close on the 6th of september 2005.
Don't forget to vote your favourite idol!!!!
